I received a free copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was pretty good. I liked the main characters - Chip and Pete, who are two average guys who stumble across the lost diary of Nikola Tesla and then continue the adventure Tesla started and embark on a fun trip across inter-dimensions, meeting friends, Meg, short for Margaret Thatcher (no relation) and Bobo, as well as saving Tesla. It was guy humour, which isn't surprising considering that it was written and narrated by a male author.

I loved that Chip sent emails to Julie throughout the novel. I felt like I knew this woman despite the fact that she only appears in the novel for five minutes or so at the end, and the moment Chip is back in his dimension, all 3000+ emails send at once. That was hilarious.
And Bobo in general was great.

Tesla, the entire reason I listened to this novel, was spectacular, living up to his real life counterpart, and even had his own accented narration. He and Meg had scientific chats semi-regularly which were awesome and really emphasized Tesla's scientific brilliance.

What I did find annoying was the pronunciation of the name Nikola - I might just have been mispronouncing his name for half my life. Also, as it was seen from one of the two male characters point of view, the other (Pete) seems to lack a distinctive voice of his own.

Overall, I liked this book; it has an interesting concept, a good writing style and a brilliant narration.

Rating = 4 / 5 stars.
